25. Remembrance after salam

(66)  

 ‘I ask Allah for forgiveness.’    (three times)

‘O Allah You are As-Salam and from You is all peace blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour.’

AS-Salam: The One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies.

(66) 'Astaghfiru Al-Lha.
(Three times) Al-Lahumma 'Anta As-Salāmu Wa Minka As-Salāmu Tabārakta Yā Dhā Al-Jalāli Wa Al-'Ikrāmi.

(66) أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ.
(ثَلاثا)ً اللَّهمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الجَلالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ.
 

(67)  

 ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone without partner to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.O Allah none can prevent what You have willed to bestow and none can bestow what You have willed to prevent and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone as from You is all wealth and majesty.’

(67) Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Allāhu Waĥdahu Lā Sharīka Lahu Lahu Al-Mulku Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun Al-Lahumma Lā Māni`a Limā 'A`ţayta Wa Lā Mu`ţiya Limā Mana`ta Wa Lā Yanfa`u Dhā Al-Jaddi Minka Al-Jaddu.
(67) لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيء ٍ قَدِيْر، ٌ اللَّهمَّ لا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الجَدِّ مِنْكَ الجَدُّ.

(68)  

‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone without partner to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.  There is no might nor power except with Allah none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and we worship none except Him.  For Him is all favour grace and glorious praise.  None has the right to be worshipped except Allah and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him although the disbelievers detest it.’

(68) Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Al-Lhu Waĥdahu Lā Sharīka Lahu Lahu Al-Mulku Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Wa Huwa `Alá Klli Shay'in Qadīrun Lā Ĥawla Wa Lā Qūwata 'Illā Bil-Lhi Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Al-Lhu Wa Lā Na`budu 'Illā 'Īyāhu Lahu An-Ni`matu Wa Lahu Al-Fađl Wa Lahu Ath-Thanā'u Al-Ĥasanu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Allāhu Mkhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna Wa Law Kariha Al-Kāfirūna.
(68) لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ اللَّه وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كلِّ شَيء ٍ قَدِيْر، ٌ لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّه، لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ اللَّه، وَلا نَعْبُدُ إِلاَّ إيَّاهُ لَهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَهُ الفَضْل وَلَهُ الثَّنَاءُ الحَسَنُ، لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ اللَّه مخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الكَافِرُوْنَ.
 

(69)  

 ‘How perfect Allah is all praise is for Allah and Allah is the greatest.’

(thirty-three times)

‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone without partner to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.’

(69) Subĥāna Al-Lhi Wa Al-Ĥamdu Llhi Wa Al-Lhu 'Kbaru. (33 times)

Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Allāhu Waĥdahu Lā Sharīka Lahu Lahu Al-Mulku Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīr.un

(69) سُبْحَانَ اللَّه، وَالحَمْدُ للهِ، وَاللَّه أكْبَرُ.
(ثَلاثا ً وَثَلاثِيْن) لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ اللَّه وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيء ٍ قَدِيْر.ٌ
 

(70)  

The following three chapters should be recited once after Thuhr AAasr and AAisha prayers and thrice after Fajr and Maghrib.

{Qul huwa Allahu ahad}      [Al-Ikhlas]

{Qul aAAoothu birabbi alfalaq..}     [Al-Falaq]

{Qul aAAoothu birabbi alnnas..}     [An-Nas]

( Al-'Ikhlāş )qul 'A`ūdhu Birabbi Al-Falaqi
( Al-Falaq )qul 'A`ūdhu Birabbi An-Nāsi

(70) )قُلْ هُوَ اللَّه أَحَد ٌ …
( [ الإِخْلاصْ ] )قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الفَلَقِ…
( [ الفَلَقْ ] )قُلْ أَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ…

It is also from the sunnah to recite the verse of the Footstool (Ayat-Al-Kursiy) after each prayer:

(71) ) Al-Lhu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-Ĥayyu Al-Qayyūmu Lā Ta'khudhuhu Sinatun Wa Lā Nawmun .. (71) ) اللَّه لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ هُوَ الحَيُّ القَيُّوْمُ لا تَأْخُذُه ُُ سِنَة ٌ وَلا نَوْم ٌ …..

 ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone without partner to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise He gives life and causes death and He is over all things omnipotent.’

(ten times after the maghrib and fajr prayers)

(72) Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Allāhu Waĥdahu Lā Sharīka Lahu Lahu Al-Mulku Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Yuĥyī Wa Yumītu Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīr.un (10 times after the Maghribi and the Şubĥi prayer)
(72) لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ اللَّه وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيْتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيء ٍ قَدِيْر. ٌ
(عَشْرُ مَرَّات ٍ بَعْدَ المَغْرِبِ وَالصُّبْحِ)
 

(73)  

 ‘O Allah I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial and sustenance which is good and deeds which are acceptable.’

(To be said after giving salam for the fajr prayer)

(73) Al-Lahumma 'Innī 'As'aluka `Ilmāan Nāfi`āan Wa Rizqāan Ţayyibāan Wa `Amalāan Mutaqabbalā.an
(73) اللَّهمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْما ً نَافِعا ً وَرِزْقا ً طَيِّبا، ً وَعَمَلا ً مُتَقَبَّلا. ً
